Dino Melaye puts confidence in God upon alleged certificate forgery


The qualification scandal that has taken over the senator representing Kogi west senatorial district at the upper chamber of the national Assembly, Dino Melaye, has deepened.
Dino, apart from having a third class, also possesses diploma certificate from the University of Jos.
he has only a statement of result from ABU. Not just that, checks from the University revealed that it only offers BSc Geography and not BA Geography as reflected on Dino's statement of results.

The trouble began on Monday, march 20, 2017 when an online news medium, Sahara Reporters, in a tweet alleged that the senator did not graduate from ABU for his first degree, against his claim that he studied Geography in the prestigious Institution.
 The news medium also alleged that Dino who's the Chairman, senate committee of FCT, bribed his HOD who assisted him to forge his transcript.
Also, in a series of tweets from the @SaharaReporters  it was shown that some lecturers in the Geography department of ABU insisted that Melaye did not graduate from the department because he failed five compulsory courses.

Soon enough, Melaye dismissed the allegations and dared the news medium to sue him if it has geniune evidence to back its claims. Just then, he tweeted,@SaharaReporters, please sue I and ABU if it is true that i did not graduate from Zaria and tell Magu(EFCC chairman) to arrest and prosecute me.

Dino Melaye also boasted that he is  currently pursuing his seventh degree in ABU "Go round the universities, i attended in digging more, I am an authentic graduate of ABU"
Meanwhile, when ABU was contacted to verify the conflicting information, the institution's information officer, Adamu Mohammed, promised that the school will come out with its position on Wednesday, which it failed to do as of the time of filing this report.

Amid the controversy, documents obtained revealed that the senator had a statement of result with the logo of ABU and it read "This is to certify that Daniel Jonah Melaye having completed an approved course of study and passed the prescribed exams as under the authority of the senate being a awarded the Bachelor of Arts(Geography) with third class honors. this statement issued by the office of the registerer, Academic office and dated February 03, 2000 was sighned by B.B Mshelthlila

Also, in the senators NYSC discharge certificate which was issued on July 8, 2001 his name read "Melaye Daniel" and not" Daniel Jonah" as shown in the statement of results

Also. in the diploma certificate issued to him by the University of Jos on August 3, 2006 his name read Daniel Dino Melaye, he was issued an advanced diploma in the result, he had:

When contacted again on his mobile phone on friday evening, the information officer, ABU, Mr. Adamu Mohammed, sounded hostile "Please, this is not an official time, call me tomorrow, thank you, goodnight"and he hung up.
